Never forget what God said just because of what you see. Oftentimes, what God says and what He means aren’t the same as how we understand it or interpret it.

When He said that Abraham will have heir from his loins, He didn’t mean Ishmael – he meant Isaac. He meant Abraham’s barren wife will give birth. When He showed Joseph how great he will be, He didn’t mean it will be easy and simple. He meant that they will try killing him, they will sell him, he will serve somewhere, be tempted by a woman but his integrity and his gift will make a way for him, from the prison he rise to the top and preserve his family.

Scripture says, “Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead-and so was Sarah’s womb.

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.” (Romans 4:18-20 NLT)

Yes, God has said that you will be great and prosperous but it doesn’t mean that you must be lazy, undisciplined or do things your way. What He means is that you have to trust Him and rely on Him regardless of what you see and let your actions please Him. He will lead you into the promise by His Spirit and miraculous power.
