Trust in the Lord

The wise king, Solomon, tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This text reminds us of the importance of placing our trust in the Lord. We may have our own opinions, knowledge, and experiences, but they cannot compare to the wisdom and understanding that comes from the Lord. When we trust in Him with all our heart, we acknowledge His sovereignty and submit to His will. It is in this trust that we can find true peace and fulfillment in our lives.

As we go about our daily lives, it is easy to get caught up in our own plans and desires. We may believe that we know what is best for us, but Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to submit to God’s plan for our lives. By doing so, we open ourselves up to the opportunities and blessings that He has in store for us. We may not always understand why certain things happen in our lives, but we can trust that God is working all things together for our good.

PRAYER: Heaven Father, thank you for your word today. Help us to trust You completely, submitting to Your plan for our lives. Bring us peace and fulfillment as You guide us on straight paths. Amen.
