We all seek value in life—it's human nature. Whether in relationships, careers, or material possessions, we invest much of our time and energy pursuing what we deem most valuable. Yet, amidst this pursuit, we sometimes lose sight of what truly matters. This morning, during my daily Scripture reading, I was reminded of what should carry the utmost importance in our lives: "the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

Friend, God’s grace is sufficient

These moments often reveal how little control we truly have. Yet, they're also times when God unveils something profound: His strength shines brightest in our weakness.

We MUST live by faith

For those of us in Christ, faith isn't just a part of life—it is the essence of life itself. This means living is trusting God's Word. Living is trusting God's Word moment by moment, day by day, and believing in His promises even when circumstances suggest otherwise. For the just (or, I should say, "for us believers in Christ"), living by faith encompasses every dimension of life—not just the big, miraculous moments, but also the small, daily issues and choices that fill our days.

Can’t get your mind to stay Quiet? You need the Peace of God.

We’ve all had days when our minds feel overwhelmed with a relentless stream of thoughts, worries, and distractions. It can seem endless, making peace feel almost impossible to attain. Once, some painters were asked to depict peace in any way they could imagine. While others painted serene landscapes, one artist chose to portray a violent storm with dark skies. Yet, in one small corner, he painted a bird sitting on a branch, singing amidst the chaos, unbothered and going about its business.

Stressed or Anxious? There is rest for you in Christ.

Friends, in a world that often feels overwhelmingly chaotic, finding rest can seem elusive. Yet, the scriptures offer a profound invitation to find rest in Christ. When God gave us Christ, He gave us rest—rest for our spirit and soul.

Friends, we have an inheritance in Christ

I once heard a story about a man who endured years of poverty, not knowing that he had a sizable inheritance from a distant relative. For a long stretch of time, this man battled addiction and mental health issues while living on the streets. The police knew about the man's problems and were genuinely concerned for his welfare. They tried several times to locate him in order to inform him about his newfound freedom from the grips of poverty.
