What is the Eternality of God?

📖 [Psalm 90:2 NKJV]

2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

No beginning. No end. No origin story. No expiration date.

God simply is—always has been, always will be.

This is eternality.

Try to imagine it. Before anything existed—before stars, before space, before time itself—God was. And when the universe burns out, when the last star goes cold, when time itself ends—God will still be.

We can’t fully grasp this. Our existence is bound by time. We measure life in years, months, days, hours. We have beginnings and endings. We are creatures of sequence—born, living, dying.

God is not.

Moses wrote Psalm 90 after watching an entire generation die in the wilderness. He watched the clock tick down on thousands of lives. Time was relentless, and no one escaped it.

But then he looked at God: “From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”

Time doesn’t touch Him. Age doesn’t weaken Him. Generations rise and fall, but He remains.

This means your life—as short as it feels—is held by Someone outside of time. Someone who sees your whole story at once, from beginning to end, and beyond.

The urgency you feel, the deadline pressing, the years slipping away—He’s not panicked. He’s not scrambling. He’s eternal.

And He’s placed you inside time for a purpose.
